17 Seconds to Flawless Skin

Legendary spiritual teacher Abraham Hicks said if you can hold a vision for 17 seconds it becomes reality. 


Imagine becoming the best version of yourself just by visualizing it. What does she look like? How is her skin (clear, smooth, even color)? Does she look happy? What is her posture like?


For most people it is more natural to focus on shortcomings, flaws and imperfections. When we deal with skin imperfections, looking in the mirror becomes an obsession, as if we can wish the breakouts, brown spots and worry lines away by constantly checking in on them. But are we making these imperfections worse by giving them too much attention and energy?


When we focus on the image of our ideal self as opposed to what we dislike about ourselves, we call in the right energy that brings us closer to what we want. Because when we focusing on what we want, we subconsciously make choices that are aligned with our goals. And by creating images and thoughts that make us happy, we create a feeling of ease and comfort, which relaxes us and reduces stress hormone levels, allowing the body to heal and the skin to glow.


Here an exercise:

Set your timer to 20 seconds (allows 3 seconds to focus), close your eyes and visualize the version of yourself that you want to be (e.g. clear, smooth and even skin). Repeat several times daily for the next 30 days and see what happens. Warning: May cause miracles.
